Pura Penataran Agung Lempuyang, part of the wider Pura Luhur Lempuyang complex, is one of Bali's oldest and most highly regarded temples. Situated high on the slopes of Mount Lempuyang in Karangasem, the temple became a global sensation due to its magnificent split gateway that perfectly frames Mount Agung in the distance—a vista universally known as the "Gate of Heaven."
